Franco had been dead for 5 years and Madrid exploded in freedom, colour and unbridled hedonism. This route traces the epicentres where the Movida was born: from the old Rock-Ola to the walls that still keep the lyrics of Nacha Pop. Alaska, Mecano, Radio Futura, Sabina... they all trod these streets when Madrid became the freest and most modern city in Europe. An unrepeatable era that changed Spain forever.
